There is almost no doubt that we find Kenyan coffee to be some of the most beautiful coffee in the world. This coffee from our friends at Long Miles Coffee Project has everything we're looking for when we approach a cupping table. Juicy, bright, sparkling clean and brews well both hot and cold.
This stunner comes from the Ndurutu factory in Kirimukuyu. Sourced from 527 smallholders that are mostly located on the southeastern slopes of the Aberdares mountain range in Nyeri county. The average age of plant and farm near Ndurutu is 50 years old! All of these coffees are fully washed, processed with a disc pulper, left to ferment for 24-48 hours and dried on raised beds for 14 to 21 days.
We started building a relationship with Long Miles in 2015 while working with them in Burundi. We're excited for their new project in Kenya and love having them as a partner at origin which guarantees transparency and the ripest cherry selection resulting in only top-notch coffee.
