Nano Genji, which is part of the Kata Muduga cooperative union, is a relatively new mill to the Agaro, Jimma region of western-central Ethiopia. This new mill has dozens of drying beds and there are over 600 members contributing to this station and its older sister station Nano Challa, located just a few miles away. We chose lot #5 from Nano Genji becase of it's remarkably sweet and intensely aromatic qualities.
This is our first time working with Red Fox Coffee importers and we're excited to bring in more of their coffee in the future. In this region of Ethiopia in particular, they've been committed to supporting higher premiums for producers since the late 2000's. Not only have they seen those premiums rise, they've also been given first selections of the impressive coffees the farmers at Nano Genji have produced this year as a result.
